After a historic first edition in Reunion Island, the Indian Ocean & Francophonie Surfing Cup crossed the Mozambique Channel to South Africa for its second edition.
A celebration of unity
Hosted by Surfing South Africa in Durban, the 2025 edition opened with an unforgettable opening function. Teams were warmly welcomed by Ann Wright, Vice-President of Surfing South Africa, and Danielle Powis, General Manager, before each nation took to the stage to introduce its athletes.
Over a week of competition, tag-team events and finals day at New Pier, young surfers from five nations shared the waves, their culture and their passion for the sport. The edition also strengthened the partnership between the Reunion Island Surfing League and Surfing South Africa.
